Partners
Questions and Answers
Here are some of our most frequently asked questions:
Q) Why are only King Air aircraft in the program?
A) The KAP program was designed to utilize the world’s most successful business aircraft. King Airs provide everything most individuals and businesses require of their aircraft such as cabin comfort, utility, range, speed, operating economy, dependability and resale value. It is a fact that the King Air has set the standard for all other business aircraft for the last 40 years!
Q) Why do you offer only 1/2 and 1/3 partnerships?
A) KAP determined at the outset that the advantages offered by a real “partnership” were superior to “shared” or “joint” ownerships. The primary difference is that your investment, as an owner, is real and determined by the value of the aircraft and not by the value or problems of the operating company. Also, KAP understands that more than (3) ownership identities in any one aircraft may compromise the usefulness for all of the owner partners.
Q) If I purchase a partnership, how long does it take to find a partner(s) for
my aircraft?
A) This depends upon several factors such as, where you are located, 1/2 or 1/3 partnerships, and the aircraft purchase price. Most partnerships require 2 to 3 months to establish. However, if a partner can afford to carry the total purchase price initially then KAP will provide all management and crew services immediately when the aircraft is acquired.
Q) How do you handle the aircraft scheduling?
A) The KAP scheduling program is simple and fair for all. If you own a 1/2 share then the aircraft is yours every other week. If your partnership is 1/3 shared owners then the aircraft is yours every 3rd week. However, the aircraft is available to each owner at any time if it not already scheduled. The KAP system protects each owner and allows equal aircraft access and fair utilization.
Q) Do I select my pilots?
A) KAP will select pilots that meet KAP standards and the owner partners will have the opportunity to interview each candidate. KAP will not hire any flight crew candidate that has not been approved by each owner partner.
